The purpose of this website is to be of assistance to those looking to better know Pastor Ryan Laden and his family.
Below you will find a collection of stories and images that tell an awesome story about the faithfulness of the Lord and the willingness of our family to serve wherever we are called.
Ryan and Amy Laden met one another during a church Christmas party when they were only 10 years old. While each had their own journey of faith, the Lord weaved their lives together from that point forward, leading to the development of a great friendship that would one day turn into a lasting love.
Prior to their first date, both Ryan and Amy answered the call of God over their lives that would lead them both into a future of serving the Lord in ministry.
This shared commitment led them into a whirlwind romance that eventually saw them joining forces as they were married in their hometown of San Antonio in 1998.
One of the great gifts that the Lord has provided to the Laden family has been the way that all of the Ladens (including Zachary, Austin, and Riley) have been able to use their gifts and talents to serve the Lord throughout all of their adventures together. It is one of the greatest blessings of life to see your children grow their own vibrant faith in Christ.
As Ryan and Amy have followed the call of God over the last 26 years, they have been amazed by the adventures that the Lord has called them into. Youth ministry, church planting (X3), academics, national leadership, and the blessing of pastoring the church have all been a wild, but thrilling ride. The good news is that the adventure is just beginning.
Following his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University, Ryan went on to get his Masters of Divinity in Biblical Languages from NOBTS in 2001. From here Ryan has pursued further studies in Biblical Studies from Baylor University and leadership studies from the Australian Institute for Management and Sterling Seminary. Ryan is working on completing his doctorate from NOBTS in late 2025.
Ryan has dedicated his life to serving Jesus Christ by serving and leading the church in whatever capacity needed. This has led to a wide variety of ministry opportunities over the last 26 years. The Ladens have served the church in New Orleans, across Texas, Oregon, Western Australia, Israel, Greece, Cambodia, and parts in between. As am
As amazing as all of these adventures have been, Ryan and Amy are excited about investing in the people they are called to serve in this next phase of life.
One great passion for the whole Laden family has been that of helping the church get involved in the mission of building up and strengthening the church of Jesus Christ all over the world. In addition to leading mission trips across the US, Caribean, and Southeast Asia, Ryan has led numerous trips to Israel and Greece, helping connect believers to the physical truths found in God’s word.
Ryan and Amy have been faithfully serving the Lord since 1996 (hince the sweet shirt above 😁). While not every place of service has been easy and the Laden's have the scars to prove that ministry is a sacrifice, both Ryan and Amy are even more committed to loving and leading the people of the church today than when they first said yes to the Lord. For these two, serving God is a privilege.
In this message, we see the difference between a relationship with God that is given by grace and one that is built by our own effort. This passage from Romans 9:30-10:13 points us to the beauty of God's gift of grace.
What can the "Sons of Thunder" and their mommy show us about living a life of eternal significance? In this encounter, the disciples ask for worldly significance, but Jesus sets them (and us) straight. This is a great teaching from the Lord that has a lot to say to all who bear the name of Jesus Christ.
In this message we hear more about how the Lord moves us from death to life and how we can and should treat our stubborn areas of rebellion and sin.
We take a look at the ministry and person of Jesus Christ from the perspective of the Apostle Thomas. The story of Thomas is one that many of us can identify with and one that we all need to hear.
In this message we dive into the call of Christ to born of the Spirit and see how this call is answered in the message of Romans 6-7.
A challenge taken from James 3:1-12 that speaks to those looking for God to help them see real change in their lives.
Taken mostly from the life of the Apostle Paul and his farewell letter found in 2 Timothy 1:8-12 we encounter a call to build a stronger foundation for our faith in the good days so that we won't crash in the bad days.
In this verse by verse study we hear an amazing message about the gift of God's love and mercy for all who call on the name of Jesus.
In this message we are challenged to identify our passions and goals for life in light of the mission given to us by Jesus Christ.
